CHAIRMAN AKOD JOINS PASTOR ADEBOYE, GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU AT NATIONAL THANKSGIVING SERVICE
In a remarkable display of unity, humility, and interfaith harmony, the Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Sunday, October 5, 2025, joined the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, at the RCCG National Headquarters, The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, for a Special Thanksgiving Service for the Nation.
Chairman Dauda attended the spiritual event alongside his colleagues from the 57 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos State, where they collectively offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and divine guidance for Nigeria, Lagos State, and their respective communities.
The thanksgiving service, themed around Psalm 127:1 — “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it,” underscored the importance of divine direction in leadership and national development.
Despite being a devout Muslim, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda’s presence at the Christian gathering further reflects his commitment to religious tolerance, inclusivity, and respect for all faiths. His participation exemplifies a leadership philosophy anchored in unity and service to humanity, beyond religious or cultural boundaries.
Chairman AKOD continues to promote inclusive governance and community harmony in Ikeja Local Government, reinforcing his belief that leadership is about service to all — regardless of creed or belief.
