Eko Achievers Lions Club Hosts 2025 Peace Poster Competition to Inspire Youth and Promote Environmental Awareness
The Eko Achievers Lions Club, District 404B2 Nigeria, has organized the 2025 Peace Poster Competition among students of Omole Junior Grammar School and Ojodu Junior Grammar School with the theme “Togetherness as One.” The global initiative of Lions Clubs International aims to promote peace through art by encouraging students to creatively express their vision of harmony and unity.

Speaking at the event, the President of the club, Lion (Amb.) Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi David, emphasized the importance of youth involvement in nation-building and environmental consciousness. She reaffirmed the club’s commitment to nurturing young talents and building a generation of peace ambassadors.
The judges, Kofoworola Wale Ridwan and
Mr Kazeem Mumin from Fine and Applied Arts Department. Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka – Lagos commended the students’ creativity and depth of expression. Emmanuel Oluwafemi, a JSS2 student of Omole Junior Grammar School, emerged as the overall winner and will represent the club at the District 404B2 level of the competition
.

The event also highlighted the club’s environmental partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Environment (LASEPA) to establish Eco Clubs in schools, aimed at promoting sanitation and environmental awareness among students.
