The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has paid glowing tribute to teachers across the nation in commemoration of World Teachers’ Day 2025, describing them as “true heroes” who shape minds, nurture dreams, and guide generations toward greatness.

In a statement released on Saturday, October 5, to mark the global celebration themed “Focusing on the Global Teacher Shortage,” Senator Tinubu called for urgent and deliberate measures to address the worldwide decline in the number of teachers.

“Teachers are true heroes, shaping minds, nurturing dreams, and guiding generations. As a lifelong teacher myself, I salute you all on this special day,” she added.
