The Lagos State Police Command today joined organisations and institutions across the country in commemorating the 2025 Customer Service Week — a global event dedicated to celebrating quality service and strengthening the relationship between service providers and their customers.
For the Police, the public remains the primary customer in the shared mission of safety and security, making service excellence not merely a choice but a solemn responsibility.
As part of activities commemorating the celebration, the Command organised a comprehensive medical outreach at the Area F Police Cottage Hospital, Ikeja, where both residents and police personnel benefitted from complimentary health services such as blood pressure checks, HIV and hepatitis screenings, pelvic scans, and X-rays.
The outreach expressed the Command’s gratitude to the public for their cooperation and support while fostering stronger police-community relations founded on trust, compassion, and accessibility. Medical professionals also provided advisory sessions on preventive healthcare, stress management, and lifestyle improvement, reaffirming that policing extends beyond law enforcement to encompass compassion and empathy for the populace.
In furtherance of the celebration, the Lagos State Command hosted a broad stakeholders’ meeting today. The meeting involved various police partners, including members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), the Eminent Persons Forum, Civil Society, the Clergy, Traditional Rulers, and the Community Development Advisory Council, as well as other community stakeholders.
The engagement provided a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and collective problem-solving towards improved security and community safety across Lagos State.
Speaking at the event, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders for their continued partnership and support to the Command. He emphasised that policing thrives on cooperation, understanding, and proactive engagement with the public.
“Our service is community-centred. We value every Lagos resident as a stakeholder in the security architecture of our State. Together, we can sustain peace, strengthen trust, and ensure that Lagos remains safe for all,” the CP stated.
The Command reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding the values of service, respect, and integrity. It also continues to improve accessibility through the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) and its verified social media platforms for public feedback.-PR
